Weekdays 6am - 9am

As the 1st dj on KFOX, I remember what the first song ever was on KFOX: “Born To Be Wild.” I remember because I was the one who got to push the button to launch the station 30 years ago!

I was born and raised in San Jose (Leland High/San Jose State), as were my son and daughter. I’ve loved living my whole life right here in the South Bay, in either San JoseMilpitas, or Campbell.

My all time favorite South Bay restaurant is El Burro in Campbell, but now that’s it’s gone after 47 years of my favorite rice ever, it’s time for a new one. For now, I’ll go with Subway (I know, I know…what?!) at Bascom and 85 in San Jose. Here me out: it’s open 24 hours, and I’m big soup person and their chicken noodle soup is the best (for some reason, only when heated up a day or two after buying it)!

My first rock concert @12 years old was AC/DC opening for Aerosmith (still my favs)!

I played lead guitar and keys in local bands like Hot Ice, Starrider, Alibi, and 3 Dicks & A Jane at South Bay clubs like Mountain Charley’s, Britannia Arms, and Keystone Palo Alto. I even played solo piano at a few thousand Happy Hours in the Hedley Club at Hotel De Anza in San Jose.

I love working at KFOX because it’s a thrill for me to play guitar on the air and because the staff and listeners love to rock! 🎸
